1963 1/2 Falcon Sprint

"In 1963 I was 13 years old when my dad drove up with a 63 Falcon Futura with a 260 V8 and 4-speed. It was bright red with red interior. He drove me and my brothers to out skirts of Las Vegas, Nevada where he allowed me to sit on his lap and operate the car. I remember burning rubber and speed shifting until he had to reach over and turn the key off to stop me.

Well, when I was 17 years old I purchased a 63 Sprint with a 260 and 4-speed. I dragged raced it for a couple years and sold it for $500.00.

I'm now 46 years old and decided to restore a classic car. After allot of looking and asking I found a 63 Sprint 260, 4-speed just two blocks from my house. The owner has been storing it for the past 20 years with the intentions of restoring it someday.  I talked him out of it and after 2 years of saving money and doing all the work myself, I finally finished it.

My uncle also purchased a new 63 Sprint that had a 3-speed column shift with a 260 V8. Never heard of that combination."
